"Carry On My Wayward Son"

Today is February 11,2008 and Day 12 for me in the Struggle For Survival 40 Years ago in Hue.

I am lucky to be physically alive but my mind and soul are still injured, even though my body is fit for someone in their late 50's. I was still a teenager when I was sent to Hue,Vietnam and I arrived in Hue in April 1967. Hue was REMF duty then and besides "a job with an asshole boss", it was easier living than what I had to deal with in the Bronx,New York as a gang member.

I was still a Gang member but it was the U.S.Marines.

Yesterday(Sunday,Feb. 10,2008)I read a story with headline,"Missing Vet May Think He's In Iraq".

It is about a wounded Iraqi veteran(name Eric hall ,age 24 years)who is missing in Charlotte County,Florida.

I'm currently studying "Odysseus In America;Combat Trauma And The Trials Of Homecoming" by Jonathan Shay,M.D.,PH.D.,which was published in 2002.

I am always amazed how those who want the U.S. to be an Empire, refuse to pay for it.

They have no problem with letting others pay with their lives for their profits and power.
